Circa Signs
Driving around some of the older neighborhoods in the City, you may recognize 'Circa' signs that are purchased
by many homeowners and mounted proudly in front of their homes. These signs are not only for recognition of
our elegant Victorian or charming Craftsman homes, they are a means for all homeowners to show pride in their
vintage homes. Today even our City's post war/mid twentieth century houses now qualify. If you live in a
"vintage" home, 50 years or older, the CHHPAC invites you to consider joining your neighbors in recognizing the
wonderful architectural heritage we all share by posting an attractive Circa Sign.
Although all of the signs are uniform in their look, a selection of colors is available for coordination with your
home. Further color customizing is available for an additional cost. The committee will research and aid you in
verifying the date of your home if it is unknown to you. Signs are available for $125.00. If you are interested,
please contact Mike Bonhart with the Chicago Heights Historic Preservation Advisory Committee at (708)
755-3023.
